The ‘we’ we could be, on a path almost parallel. A sparkling thread of magic leads theway, offering insight and guidance as before you … the path unfolds.
The paths we walk, ever diverging, ever dividing; forks in the road, one path taken – becoming our life’s journey, the other an infinity of other possibilities.
To me, this Tarot is like a world seen through a looking glass, flowing gently beside us. The characters from the cards are our guides, whispering, encouraging and holding a mirror up for our self reflection. I wanted to create a deck that both realistically reflected the world around us, while at the same time, also held a mystical touch. I wanted to create a deck that felt like a good friend… and, because diversity and representation are important to me, I tried to bring together a vibrant, varied mix of people to inhabit these cards.
After 2 full years of steady, focused work, I’m so delighted to be able to set The Unfolding Path Tarot free into the world. In creating this deck, I have based it on the classic RWS tradition, while giving it a fresh, diverse and colourful visual interpretation.
I have spent many, many hours on each of these cards. Time spent meditating on the original meanings, time spent visually conceptualising those meanings… and so VERY many hours bringing those visual concepts to life. I’ve poured my heart and soul into these, and I hope they will bring you all the joy, that creating them has brought me.
