SIGNED Magicians Martyrs and Madmen by Travis McHenry

Signed by the creator Travis McHenry, Magicians, Martyrs, and Madmen is an 80 card Tarot deck that celebrates macabre and miraculous people from throughout history. You can use this deck to connect with the strange, the sensual, and the spiritual figures who have shaped our world with their magic.
Each card features original artwork of a magician, a martyr, or a mad-person from the past that had a connection with spirituality or occult practices.

These original paintings were created by Venezuelan artist Helen Gottberg under my direction to ensure they captured the essence of the person on the card and the meaning behind the Tarot card itself.

The cards are printed on borderless, high quality cardstock with a gold gilt edge. They are standard Tarot card size. The box is a hefty, rigid box that holds the deck and the booklet.

This deck comes with an extensive full color 96-page guidebook that explains the meanings behind each card, a brief biography of the person on the card, and some techniques for using the deck.

Description

SIGNED Magicians Martyrs and Madmen by Travis McHenry

Travis created this deck to reveal the deeper meaning of the Tarot through the deeds (and misdeeds!) of witches, murderers, saints, cannibals, and prophets. Like it or not, these are the people who helped build the “Mind-Body-Spirit” community and there is so much more we have to learn from them!

This deck strives to be inclusive of all genders, races, cultures, ages, body types, and sexualities by featuring personalities from across many places and times. You’ll find magic-workers from almost every continent, so there’s sure to be somebody who resonates with you in the deck! There are even three versions of The Lovers card to represent different sexualities. If you’re feeling particularly attracted to a certain gender-energy, just leave one Lovers card in the deck. If you’ve got an adventurous spirit, leave in all three and see which comes up during your reading!
