This cult deck is a deeply atmospheric set of cards steeped in the dark romanticism of Victorian Gothic fantasy.  The imagery is designed to be evocative of the work of Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, Sheridan Le Fanu, Mary Shelley, M. R. James, Henry James, Robert Louis Stevenson and their contemporaries.

Deck Details:

• This is a Signed and Numbered Limited Edition! Only 990 were printed in a strictly limited edition that will not be repeated!
• 81 Fully illustrated cards (including the title cards and TWO extra cards).
• Many changes from the earlier editions – these vary from slight alterations of color to extensive redesigning of the imagery.
• Very large format of 165x100mm (a little over 6.5×4 inches)
• Cards are printed on high quality 330 grm playing card stock with an inner carbon layer.  This protects against bends, and tears.
• Varnished with semi-matte varnish so the the varnish is not too shiny.
• All cards are now cold-stamped. This is an underlaid ink but gives the impression of a metallic overlay.  It is NOT actually metal though, so there are no metal allergy issues. They done this in a slightly new way, so that it works well with these images. It gives and almost 3 dimensional and rather magical quality.
• This deck comes in a stained wooden box with a silver title and graphics. These boxes are made specially for Baba Studios in Czech Republic.
• A detailed instruction booklet is included.
